To create a place with a holistic approach where people stay active during their holidays, take time for their own and their health, connect and have fun with like-minded people and bring their life in perfect balance again. 

In our everyday life we lose our balance, have stress, are under constant pressure and therefore often place far too little value on our health – physically, mentally and psychologically.

During our holidays, we usually turn into the opposite. We lie around lazily, sunbathe on the beach, eat unhealthily, drink alcohol and party. We feel like we are relaxing and resting, but actually spending a holiday like this makes our health even worse.

Fitnessholiday has set itself the goal of offering boutique active holidays with a holistic approach where guests can fully focus on their own health and balance in life. A real and genuine break in which body, mind and spirit; the whole health is brought back into balance.

Our vision is that our guests can take the balance that they find with us during their holidays into their everyday life and implement it there. Together with our experts and coaches, we have developed signature programs that use simple tools to help our guests maintain a healthy lifestyle in everyday life.

During our fitnessholiday camps, we take a break from our everyday life to focus on ourselves. We train with like-minded people, do yoga, meditate, stroll in fresh nature and address our diet, which influences a large part of our health.

OUR MISSION

All our offers are based on four main pillars which we live in a balanced mixture.

We highly believe that the interaction of the four pillars, forms the base of a healthy, happy and most of all balanced life. Only if we combine all of these pillars with each other in a meaningful way, we are able to offer a complete, comprehensive program and to exploit our full potential. For the content of all four pillars, we work with partners and specialists in the individual areas and trust completely in their competence, knowledge and experience.

Fitness is defined as the quality or state of being fit and healthy. The modern definition of fitness describes either a person or machine’s ability to perform a specific function or a holistic definition of human adaptability to cope with various situations. This has led to an interrelation of human fitness and attractiveness that has mobilized global fitness and fitness equipment industries. A well-rounded fitness program improves a person in all aspects of fitness instead of practicing only one, such as only cardio/respiratory endurance or only weight training. Physical fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Before the industrial revolution, fitness was defined as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue. However, with automation and changes in lifestyles physical fitness is now considered a measure of the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases, and to meet emergency situations.

BODY includes all of our active, sweaty indoor and outdoor fitness classes, whether it’s functional, boxing, dance or anything else.

Our mind is the element that enables us to be aware of the world and our experiences, to think and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought. Mindfulness is the practice of being aware of our bodies, mind and feelings in the present moment. It’s experiencing the moment as it is, moment after moment after moment. It is the awareness of everything that is, in the now, without judgement. Through various tools like yoga, meditation, body scans and lots of very simple techniques we start to practice mindfulness together and get a first glimpse of how many advantages we gain when we combine and complement all these techniques with our BODY pillar – the perfect addition.

MIND includes all of our Yoga, Meditation, Breathing as well as mindfulness lessons and mental health coaching elements.

In many religious, philosophical, and mythological traditions, the soul is the incorporeal essence of a living being. Soul of psyche comprises the mental abilities of a living being: reason, character, feeling, consciousness, qualia, memory, perception, thinking etc. Depending on the philosophical system, a soul can either be mortal or immortal. Our primary motivation should be taking care of ourselves / our soul that, when taking care of it well and directed to the positive, leads us to our happiness. Someone who is happy has feelings of pleasure, usually because something nice has happened because they feel satisfied with their life and, therefore, we do more of what makes us and our souls happy.  This pillar leads us into nature, lets us discover new things, takes us out of our comfort zone and brings us closer to each other.

SOUL includes hikes, excursions and the discovery of new food and the best restaurant with the focus on having a good time and laughing a lot – good vibes only!

 

Good health is central to handling stress and living a longer, more active live. As health is a state of complete emotional and physical wellbeing, we dedicate our last pillar on a healthy, balanced nutrition. The foods we eat have big effects on our health and quality of life and a healthy diet is one that helps maintain or improve overall health. It provides the body with essential nutrition like hydration, macronutrients, micronutrients and adequate calories. It may contain fruits, vegetables, whole grains and includes little to no processed food and sweetened beverages. In everything we do we additionally support you with your personal and healthy nutrition to reach your personal best.

HEALTH includes nutrition plans for beginners, intermediate and professional athletes as well as a guide in mental coaching including simple exercises to work on individually.
